Proteus Power acquires development rights in Alberta, Canada
Proteus Power recently acquired a 30 MW solar and battery storage project in southeastern Alberta, Canada.
The project rights were secured via the acquisition of Eco Renewables, the original developer. The company was acquired from local firm Sage Stone LLC and its local partner Neil Anderson. Both Sage Stone and Mr. Anderson will contribute to the co-development of this project.
The project, now called Proteus Alberta Solar 1, is located in southeastern Alberta, approximately 3.5 mi south of the hamlet of Hays. The site is located in an area with distribution grid connection on site and 4km distance to the transmission system.
The project is located on 125 acres of grazing lands owned by the Bow River Irrigation District.
