Our mission
Proteus Power was formed in 2021 by industry veterans to develop renewable energy projects across the United States and Canada in order to help accelerate the transition to a cleaner and more sustainable energy future. Our expertise covers the development, financing, construction and operation of renewable energy projects with an initial focus on solar and battery storage. Our goal is to develop, build and own a portfolio of projects which provide long-term sustainability gains that are profitable for our investors and for our community stakeholders.
Our strategy
The reduction in installation costs, coupled with system efficiency gains, has made solar and wind the lowest cost sources of electricity in most places. By pairing low cost solar or wind with battery energy storage, we are able to address the main problem with renewables, which is intermittent production which does not necessarily align with demand for the power.
• We focus on electricity markets within the US and Canada where we foresee a strong demand for the clean and reliable power which our projects produce.
• We have grown our current portfolio by developing a diversified pipeline of greenfield solar and energy storage projects and by strategically acquiring project pipelines or partnering with developers of early to mid-staged projects.
• We are developing a diversified portfolio of both in-front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter projects ranging in size from 5 MWs to 500 MWs.
