Clean Energy for a Sustainable Future
About Proteus Power
Proteus Power was formed in 2021 by industry veterans to develop renewable energy projects across the United States and Canada in order to help accelerate the transition to a cleaner energy future. Our expertise covers the development, construction and operation of renewable energy projects with an initial focus on solar PV and battery storage. Our goal is to develop, build and own a portfolio of assets which provide long-term sustainability gains that are both profitable for our investors and for our community stakeholders.
Our strategy is to benefit from current market conditions by
- Developing a diversified pipeline of greenfield solar and energy storage assets and
- Strategically acquiring project pipelines or partnering with developers of early to mid-staged projects.
The reduction in installation costs, coupled with system efficiency gains, has made solar the lowest cost source of electricity in most countries. By pairing low cost solar with battery energy storage, we are able to address the main problem with solar energy, which is intermittent production.
Delivering renewable solutions to lead the transition to a sustainable energy future.
Our extensive capabilities, coupled with our broad access to capital markets, help us to quickly identify, execute and capitalize on the best opportunities available. Our professional team works with local land-owners, communities, grid operators and energy-offtakers to identify the ideal locations to develop utility-scale solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) to help de-carbonize the electrical grid of the United States and Canada.
Proteus Power has a highly experienced team of professionals that specialize in the development of renewable energy projects, with a particular emphasis on solar collocated with battery storage. Our team’s track record of success, with its focus on project bankability, helps guarantee the quality of our project developments.
Proteus Power’s team has over $7.1bn worth of transactional experience in the renewable energy industry, which when coupled with our sponsor’s proven track record of success across several industries, ensures optimal financing solutions and superior results to our stakeholders and partners.
Proteus Power’s management has overseen the successful construction of over 1.2 GWs of renewable energy projects and has an extensive network of global EPC contractors and component suppliers, which allows us to manage and construct high quality, highly reliable, renewable energy assets and deliver reliable renewable energy to our consumers.
Proteus Power is dedicated to providing high-quality O&M service through a combination of technical expertise and a long term O&M strategy. Our O&M strategy is focused on a long term philosophy that is predictive of future operational issues and maintains system reliability and efficiencies to maximize the value of the project for its owner’s and customers.
If you are a landowner in one of our focus areas and are interested in leasing your land for the development of a solar project, please contact our team. We will get in touch with you shortly to explain the process and the benefits these projects can bring to you and your community.
