Proteus Power launches into the North American Market
The North American renewable energy market has a new player established in Houston, TX in Proteus Power Developments LLC. Proteus Power is a vertically integrated renewable energy company focused on developing, building, owning and operating renewable energy assets. The company started operations in Oct 2021 and has been focusing on putting together a pipeline of over 10 GW of solar projects co-located with battery energy storage.
Financially backed by global clean energy investor, Pelion Green Future, Proteus Power is currently developing 10 renewable projects in its initial focus areas of focus: Texas, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and Alberta, Canada.
Committed to the de-carbonization of the North American Grid, Proteus Power aims to strengthen and stabilize the North American electricity network and is expected to produce over 9,500 GWh of clean energy each year, equivalent to powering over 1.3 million homes or removing over 1.5 million cars off the road.
Proteus Power will operate from its headquarters in The Woodlands, Texas.
